Cecelia Rose Baloian Email cbaloian@comcast.net BIO: As a K-8 teacher for over 20 years, Cecelia Rose Baloian understands the social and educational needs of young girls. Her experience covers teaching a wide diversity of children both culturally and academically. Currently she resides in Half Moon Bay, California and teaches sixth grade. While earning her Master’s degree in Education in Instructional Technologies, she pursued issues concerning technology gender gaps and gender stereotyping, which begin with children in kindergarten. Her concern with building personal self-esteem and self-confidence with technology skills in young girls inspired the creation of The New Adventures of Cherry Star. Mrs. Baloian continues to design curriculum that integrates technology into the classroom and mentoring new teachers in the use of classroom computers. Her dream is to extend her teaching knowledge and experience into the software and curriculum design industry. Cecelia Rose Baloian
